Pain is often attributed to an athlete begin “out of balance”. Getting back in balance is critical to the success of a treatment. At NEW ATHLETE, we test the muscle getting it back in balance if needed. Successful treatment is almost impossible if the muscle remains out of balance.

The process: Find the source

The process: Find the source

Our job at NEW ATHLETE is to locate the origin of the physiological symptoms an athlete experiences by identifying electrical disconnects between that athletes muscles and brain. Electrical disconnects are areas that lack cellular communication to other cells or the brain, and become protected by inflammation and eventually scar tissue. Inflammation and the formation of scar tissue occur as a result of the brain feeling the need to protect the injured area from some sort of trauma.

The Process: Open Communication

The Process: Open Communication

Once we get the athlete in balance and find the source, the next task is to destroy the origin of the physiological symptoms the athlete experience by eradicating electrical disconnects. This practice re-opens lines of communication between cells, or between cells and the brain, eliminating the affected area of inflammation and scar tissue and opening up pathways for success.

FRC & FRA Functional Range conditioning / functional range assessment

FRC & FRA Functional Range conditioning / functional range assessment

The starting point for every journey is to know exactly where you stand at the simplest level. Our assessment begins with a thorough on table Functional Range Assessment ® to identify any joint limitations. You can think of this as taking a ‘joint inventory’. If we have an idea of what each joint can handle in isolation, we can build a better appreciation of what they can handle cumulatively.

Our on table assessment is coupled with a movement analysis to see how the player co-ordinates multiple joints together. For example, looking at how a pitcher couples their hip and spinal motion in different positions.

arp waves

arp waves

What are ARP Waves

ARP Wave Neurological Therapy is a rehabilitation tool unlike any other. ARP Wave targets the neurological origin of all soft tissue conditions and symptoms, not just the physiological symptoms. The result is a better outcome, a faster outcome, and an outcome that can help prevent the pain from coming back.

Why it works

Pain occurs because of the body’s inability to absorb force. The inability to absorb force is due to a neurological inability to communicate with muscles fast enough to allow the muscles to absorb force. ARP Therapy addresses the neurological origin of physiological symptoms, not the physiological symptoms.

The origin of pain or injury is not identified by symptoms, rather, symptoms are simply how an injury manifests itself. ARP Therapy treats the neurological origin of physiological symptoms, which causes the physiological symptoms to quickly vanish allowing the athlete to rehab if necessary, but also compete more quickly and at a higher level – pain free.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is the medical use of oxygen in a pressurized environment, at a level higher than 1 atmosphere absolute (ATA). Increased pressure allows for oxygen to dissolve and saturate the blood plasma (independent of hemoglobin/red blood cells), which yields a broad variety of positive physiological, biochemical and cellular effects. This noninvasive therapy is the most trusted way to increase oxygen levels to all organs of the body. The typical treatment lasts for 60-90 minutes, during which the patient lies down and breathes normally.

HBOT has been demonstrated in several clinical studies to enhance the body’s innate ability to repair and regenerate. It is used as an adjunct therapy to complement and enhance the healing process in both chronic and acute conditions.
